| Bio: | Dress me up and tie me down General Information Name: Dorothea 'Dotty' Bird Age: 26 Gender: Female Present Background Occupation: Currently she's just got a job at Beth Reynolds' new venture, as a general waitress/kitchen staff/sales assistant type. Finance: She gets by, renting a room in a friend's house. History: Brit with dual citizenship by birth, she was born to a English mother Gill, and an American father Phil. They lived together in York, UK, until her parents divorced when Dotty was 5. Her father then returned to the USA, whilst Dotty stayed with her mother in England. When Dotty was 13 and 14 her mother contracted several rounds of cancer, finally dying in Dotty's arms in a hospice when Dotty was age 14. After which she was shipped off to live with her father and his new family in Denver, Colorado. She didn't really get on with her step-family, or indeed her father. She was and is very headstrong and vocal, and her father is much the same way, leading to many clashes and butting of heads. Outgoing and friendly, she made a lot of friends at school, her mixture of Yorkshire via Denver accent inviting attention which Dotty thrived upon. During her late teens she spent more time staying at friends' houses rather than at her father's, and this habit has continued, with her staying in spare rooms, on sofas and floors for sometimes months at a time. As soon she was old enough to do so, she legally changed her name. Reflecting her relationship with her family, she took her Mother's maiden name of Bird as her surname, and shortened her birth name of Dorothea to Dotty. She felt her new name reflected her personality more accurately, especially when she was performing. Jobwise she tends to go where the mood and money takes her, taking short courses and night classes when she's interested in something. She's creative, enthusiastic about music and the visual arts and very inventive. She's held a wide range of jobs including job roles as a: dog walker, music magazine reviewer, pole dancer, window dresser, stage performer, DJ, bar staff, waitress, piercing studio receptionist and many more, anything to make sure she gets by, and enjoys life. One of her favourite jobs is as a life drawing model, which she returns to from time to time. She likes to constantly change and play with her image, recycling, reinventing and making her own clothes, costumes and accessories, something her Mum taught her as a child.. She moved to Boulder some six months ago at the urging of a dancer friend, and is really falling in love with the area. Meeting Beth at Salsa classes was just the icing on the cake, providing her both with a job and a Power Company club sponsor. Steadily putting roots down here, renting a room in her friend's house, joining a new club, and with the offer of a job she's really looking forwards to starting, she's hoping to stay here for a good while yet. Always comfortable with her sexuality, she scenes and sleeps with men and women pretty much 50:50, having had relationships with both, sometimes at the same time. She's always been very active within the scene when her living arrangements have allowed her to be, taking part in 'Pride' marches, events, awareness talks and workshops. She's passionate and enthusiastic about what she likes, willing to share advice or support to anyone who may ask for it. She's prone to being bratty and chatty in scenes, which isn't to everyone's tastes, but she does take her fun seriously when it comes down to it! Appearance In Brief: The brighter the better! Dotty's more than a bit of a punk rock princess. Running riot through a dressing up box, Dotty has *fun* with her clothes, DIYing and re-inventing all over the place. She's usually got her hair dyed, most usually in pinks or turquoises, and loves playing with make up, glitter and accessories. She currently wears a ring in her septum piercing, and has a couple of small freckle type birthmarks on her face.
